Today, Electronic Arts and Full Circle revealed new details for Skate Season 4, the next seasonal content drop for the free-to-play skateboarding game. The new update, which will drop in on June 2, will include new tricks, locations, and X Games’ return to the series.
What are the new Skate Season 4 details?
Lucre Financial Stadium, the huge stadium in Brickswich, will be the “epicenter” of Skate Season 4. Right when the new season begins, the Chum Bucket’s doors will open alongside the beginning of the San Van Open. The season will close with the San Van Open Finals presented by X Games. For those unaware, the X Games is a real-world “action sports” competition that features multiple skateboarding events, like street, vert, and big air contests.
Like the Isle of Grom in Season 3, The Stadium will be available for Premium Pass members early, from June 2 to July 7. From July 7 to July 21, access will then open to everyone. However, non-Premium Pass skaters will have to purchase a Day Pass for 250 Rip Chips. Day Passes last 24 hours from purchase, and Rip Chips can be earned by completing Challenges and Tasks.

The X Games festivities will not just be contained to The Stadium. The San Van Open will be a “citywide takeover”, with Go Skate Weekend and X Games San Van events happening throughout Season 4. This includes X Games Spot Battles, which will begin mid-season. More details on those events will be revealed soon.
As teased earlier this week, Skate Season 4 will also bring fingerflips back to the series and will expand the number of variations of the trick beyond what was included in previous games. The new season will also introduce a 110-tier Skate Pass with Standard and Premium tracks, and the new Friend Code social feature.
